2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use StudyMate. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. Users between 13 and 18 years of age should have parental or guardian consent.

- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- You agree to notify us immediately at pankaj@studymatelearning.dev if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
- You may not create multiple accounts to abuse free-tier limits or circumvent bans.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload or process content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or violates any law
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract the AI models or underlying systems
- Use the Service to generate spam, misinformation, or academic dishonesty content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service without our written permission
- Engage in any conduct that disrupts, overloads, or impairs the Service
5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
- AI-generated content should not be used as a substitute for professional academic advice, medical guidance, legal counsel, or any other expert advice.
- Always verify important information from authoritative sources.
6. Intellectual Property
Your content: You retain ownership of all content you upload to StudyMate. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process it solely to provide the Service to you.
Our content: The StudyMate platform, its design, logos, and underlying technology are owned by StudyMate and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use our intellectual property without prior written permission.
7. Account Termination
By you: You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. All your data will be deleted within 30 days of your request.
By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, without prior notice, if we determine you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. We will endeavor to notify you of termination except where prohibited.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StudyMate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹500 INR, whichever is greater.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
